The rebel lair's outer door opens, revealing a black sillouette of a figure.

Mystique pulls two guns, instantly levelling them at the sillouette's chest. "Is he with you?" It's too tall and lean to be James, but she's still pushed the remaining grenade out of her chest and into her lap. Just in case.

Silver would make everything alright by sheer force of will - if she had the ability. She certainly has the will. Turning toward him, she murmurs something softly to him, continuing to hold him up. "Good thing we were already preparing. It'll give us a head start."

"I don't know what Stephen Strange you knew, but the one I know is a man I would die to save and count it more than a fair trade."

"His counterpart on the previous world was a bit of a drunken, lecherous pervert. But the one on my world is a stand-up guy, so I know where you're comin' from."

S-Man has been listening, perched on the wall after following Sable in.

"Goddammit... let me guess, he's the Sorcerer Supreme. And we have to deal with magic again."

He rubs his face.

"Vampires aren't magic where you come from? Your world sucks harder than I thought."

"Vampires are fairy tales where I come from."

"That's the first sane thing I've heard you say."

"I've seen zombies, though. Lots of them. And the 'Strange' of my world was a hot Mexican chick."

"If I ever find a Stephen Strange on my world, I'm arresting his pasty white ass on the spot. He'll have done something wrong. I can guarentee it."

"She couldn't have been more than 21, though. A bit short in the tooth for me. But I don't think I really noticed how hot she was until now. Although I was hip-deep in female troubles at the time so I wouldn't have even been thinking about that... and you can't understate how much of a libido-killer the walking dead can be..."

She nods to Silver and Sunspot as they retreat down the hallway. "Vampires, on the other hand, don't seem to get in the way."

So he's far enough past 21 to consider that too young for him. She files that away for later.

"There aren't any vampires HERE. This is downtime, it doesn't count. The whole time I knew her, we had zombies breathing down our necks. Good lord, that stinks."

Raven nods agreement. "Downtime's good, but there's nothing like realizing that was your last round and damnit, if you can take out the rest of these people in the next fifty minutes, you'll still have at least thirty more before the cleanup crew hits the site."

She shivers a little at the memory.

Time for another cigarette.

She takes a long drag off her cigarette. "You were talking about gross things?"

"Zombie breath, yes. But there was a hot thing before that."

She blows a smoke ring. "And Magic before you noticed the hotness."

"Right. But back to the gross things. You actually have sex with that psychotic little hairball?"

Her eyes narrow. "No. I have sex with an entirely different psychotic little hairball. When the Timebroker stops holding us hostage, I look forward to screwing him until neither of us can walk. Considering my shape shifting and his healing factor, that could take days."

She takes another drag.

"What things?"

Then, just a look.

"Think about what things about you could be explained by your voluntary rutting with a drooling hairy dwarf that eats people. And then, I implore you, change them."
