The rebel lair's outer door opens, revealing a black sillouette of a figure.

Mystique pulls two guns, instantly levelling them at the sillouette's chest. "Is he with you?" It's too tall and lean to be James, but she's still pushed the remaining grenade out of her chest and into her lap. Just in case.

"The plan died with Dani." Roberto's face hardens, a little of the tension creeping back into his posture.

"But I learned something. Something that may be the key to the Queen's power. There's a man, Yeshua, named after the prophet. He is responsible for keeping the Queen's favourite pets alive. And her enemies... Sooraya..." He shudders at the memory.

"We take out her healer and we take out one of her greatest sources of strength. Rumor has it there hasn't been an omega level healer born in the last decade. The Cassidy's used theirs up three years ago. The one in Westchester comitted suicide right after the takeover." His lips tighten into a thin line. "Rumor says the one in Vegas is actually running the place, but that could just be a wishful thinking." False hope hurts everyone.

"Ok, so what do we do with this information, and who do we need to be able to counteract to make this work?"

Again Alison has held her tongue listening, taking in all the information and applying it to the situation. If anyone were to look her way, they might wonder why she's smiling. Especially since she's focused on Sunspot. "For the record, this might be your lucky day, folks. And I don't mean whatever happened in the back room either," she adds. "All things considered, I am basically a tailor made vampire-fighting machine.

"You absorb light. I make light. We find something that can make a lot of noise and you'll have an endless source to power up. Not to mention I figure I can incinerate a few vampires outright or at least keep them at bay if it comes down to it." She gives another happy smile. "This is gonna rock."

The freedom fighters probably don't find it amusing but she just got here after all.

"Well, hold on... if light could kill these guys, they'd be dead by now anyway - we could just waltz in during the day time and chuck them outside."

A glance to Sarah. "First order of business would be to figure out how to counteract this Storm Queen herself - what was her name? Aurora Monsoon or something? What does she do again?"

"Ororo Munroe. I knew her well, since she's the mother of one of my best friends. She has weather control powers, very fine control. Plus whatever she gains from being a vampire. She'd make a potent one, since she can make sure its dark and overcast all the time. As for light... some types likely could. It sounds like solar energy is still potent against them."

Alison rolls her eyes slightly but keeps smiling. "If it was just the vampires we are dealing with, yeah, it would probably be that simple. But they have minions. Presumably. Like that furry wild man. He wasn't a vampire but he definitely was dangerous. So that would keep the attacking during the day option limited." She points toward Sunspot. "Solar battery." She points a thumb toward herself. "With enough noise to absorb, living solar flare. It's at least something to try," she adds with a shrug, the smile finally fading to a more neutral expression.

"No problem. If you need noise, then noise you'll get. If Storm doesn't immediately summon a thunderstorm as it is, then I'll make plenty of noise for you to light up her life. Definitely worth a try. At the worst, your powers should still be plenty effective."

Spidey just turns to regard Sarah for a moment.

"There is no WAY you're still a teenager. Teenagers are jerks and brats. You're about the smartest person here."

Sarah shrugs. "I was trained by the best. And then spent the last year leading a group of teenagers in a guerilla war against giant killer robots. Helps you grow up fast."

There's nothing quite like being attacked by a man you grew up calling "uncle" to put you in a mopey, homesick kind of mood. But it's time to get over that. The faster she gets this stuff done, the faster she can go home and sleep in her own bed.


"I don't envy you in that respect, Sarah, but I admire how well you're handling all this."

She pauses.

"Anyone have any idea if vampires would be resistent to possession? I might be able to hitch a ride in a minion's body or something."

"Well, look who's remembered she's on a team," Spider-Man responds, looking at TJ with a squint.

"Are you done standing around pouting now?"

Oh, he did not go there. "Excuse me for being a little shell shocked after all this. You think I was just standing around all this time? I may not have been my usual chatty self but I've been doing what I can."

She takes a step sideways into a darker portion of the room, all but her eyes fading from view, which also dissapear as she turns to climb the wall. "Now, if you need me, I'll be around." her voice comes from somewhere above the costumed smart-ass. In other words, she's having a look around to see if there's anything their hosts aren't telling them.

He blinks behind the mask. He's got accelerated vision, so the shadow trick doesn't work quite as well on him, but it's still a neat thing to see.

Not that he'll admit it.

"Looks like she's not done pouting yet."

"I can possess you, dress in drag and video tape you in a kickline wearing gold lamé hot pants" can be heard as she exits the room, punctuated by swear words in various languages.

Great. Another blue chick he's managed to piss off.

"Bet I'd look good, though."

A glance to anyone who'd know.

"Anyone have an answer to that? I'd hate her to try to possess one of these freaks only to get possessed right back..."

Sarah shakes her head. "I don't know. The legends say they need to make eye contact to possess someone, but that could all be wrong. But if they are possessable, then that could be a huge benefit. If we had time and knew where we might be able to find one or two besides Ororo or Logan, I'd suggest an ambush to try it. Those two would be hard to possess or mind control even without being vampires. Sadly, we don't seem to have a lot of research time."

She speaks more quietly now, aside to Spider Man. "Don't suppose you could give her a break. She's taking this harder than most of us, and I know it isn't exactly a picnic for you. If we're going to pull this off, we're going to need to work together. All of us. As powerful as this hammer is, there's going to be things I can't fix or overpower. You and Mystique both have a lot more experience at this than I do, no matter who trained me. And Nocturne doesn't even have that to fall back on. I can't ask anyone to like each other, but if we can't pull this show together this time, we may all die. We almost did last time, and that was just dealing with Clown Prince Mysterio."

He didn't need a lecture from a sixteen-year-old. Lieutenant America or not.

"You want to scold somebody about teamwork, talk to your alterna-sister. Make sure she's on the same page."

Then he thwips a webline upwards.

"Find out the plan. I'm gonna skulk around a bit to see if I can help update the ordinance."

Sarah shakes her head. She already said the same thing to the others regarding him, and they brushed her off or made jokes about her. Spider-Man just leaves. She's not sure which reaction makes her want to hurt somebody more. But she doesn't pursue him. If these people are going to insist that everyone else is the problem, fine, she's not going to waste any more time playing diplomat.

She does go in search of Sable to see if there is anything vaguely like a plan.
