Phoenix Under Attack!

That's the headline people are trying to avoid.

The Hulk doesn't care. His gait brings him ever closer to the populated city, and so far, nothing seems to stop it.

There's hope that the sandstorm that just kicked up might buy them more time. A sandstorm that's the doing of Crusader, the new girl carrying Thor's hammer and Captain America's shield, who's crazy enough to try to face the Hulk without the help of her team, who have been held up by dealing with some other U.S. agent.

The storm doesn't stop him. It only slows him.

Sarah reaches out for the Ghost Rider, trying to be comforting, even if she's seeing a couple of her at the moment. At least she's seemingly unworried about the flames.
"In my world, most of the heroes are dead. And the villains even... superhumans... killed by the sentinels. Just a few left." she shakes her head, trying to stay coherent and focused.

She gets up and nods. then, she does a power arm shake with Crusader.

There's a tilt of his head.

"Waaaait a minute," he starts, to the skullface. "Did the Timebroker send you here?"

She looks to him and shrugs. She writes two more words.

"FIRST DAY"

Shockin' hell, another one.

He regards her flaming skull for a long time.

"And there's no way we can even hook you up with a communicator earpiece."

If it can't talk, there's not even a REASON to, anyway.

"Well, nice to have you aboard. We'll figure out something for communicating. Any idea what monster we've created? Maybe the Hulk's death triggered something?"

"Or maybe the Timebroker can give us a little more time and information to achieve our friggin' goals?" That last bit is spoken to the Tallus.

Sarah blinks a couple times, hearing the conversation kind of in and out. Definitely a concussion. She does catch some of the important bits. Maybe because 'Hulk' remains a very important word in her brain about now.
"All that gamma radiation, it could have done lots of things... maybe re-triggered Banner... or... or monster scorpions under the sand... or, uhm, something. I can't really... focus enough to try and trace it right now."

"No more thinking, Sarah. Not yet. You need rest. Let's... let's just follow this Buck-tooth guy and find a place to regroup and dream of strangling little fat omnipotent bow-tie wearing jackasses."

She pushes back up to her feet unsteadily, not even trying to nod. "Right." She looks Bucky's direction to see if he and his bunch have anywhere they can hole up.

Raven resists the urge to punch Wrestlemania in the face and scream, "I told you so."

Maybe later. When they figure out what monster they've created.

Instead, she picks up her granddaughter and follows the local boy. If Sarah won't let Morph carry her, at least she should trust her own grandmother not to get frisky.

Sarah does, indeed, trust Mystique at least this far, standing and leaning heavily on Mystique. She'd let herself be carried, but then moving the half-ton hammer becomes an issue.
"Nnn, thanks."
She lets the others worry about the thinking part for now, and concentrates on keeping up, with a lot of grandmotherly help.
