This Panther has apparently not expected the girl to wield the hammer so well, and the hammer finds its mark.
The vibranium weave of his suit helps make the blow non-fatal, but it does give her some separation from her attacker.
And that's when the blasts open up again from a handful of spots down below, seemingly coming from nowhere...
