He has his own means for dealing with the telepathy that he has built over the years, even still there is an echo in his mind from Charles' anger.

He will back it by sending a wave of magnetism through the room destroying communicators and cell phones (the Lehnsherr's communicators are shielded to prevent this)and not a few digital watches as well.
