Dammit. He sighs as he seats himself. "Sorry. I'm...."

A deferential waiter approaches, and he orders water. "Um, for appetizers ... this is a kosher restaurant, right? I don't know much about kosher food. Why don't you order something and I'll try it out?" He manages a small smile. "Maybe I'll like it."
